Description
The Event Manager is responsible for all banquet development and event operations of the Club. Supervises the banquet service personnel to ensure all details of the planned event are accurately facilitated. Responsible for existing and new social club events and all aspects of research, design and décor related to each event. Works with the Chef and other departments to assure the members’ and guests’ expectations are exceeded and the highest quality food and service is delivered.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an event planner or organizer in event related work (3-5 Years)
- Strong operational knowledge of banquet events management.
- Extensive experience in planning and executing weddings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written, verbal and must possess a positive and outgoing personality.
- Ability to remain calm while working under pressure and manage multiple projects independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team and also take initiative when the need arises.
- Knowledge of buffet table design and event set-up. Creative and with an eye for color and design. Flower design or art degree will be an advantage.

Educational Qualifications: College Degree Preferred
Date Position Available: Immediate
Compensation: $70,000-$85,000 plus potential planning commission of $500 per wedding.
Other Benefits: Health and dental package (eligible after 30 days). Two weeks’ vacation & 401K match available after first year, meals, Monday golfing privileges, and education allowance.
