Chris' teaching area and interests include: current issues in hospitality management, human resources management in the hospitality industry, training/education of employees, and experiential learning.

Experience:

Mr. Longstreet, CHA, is currently a senior adjunct faculty member, and a former Assistant Professor for the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department. Prior to joining the department, Chris was Manager of Training Programs for Choice Hotels International - franchisor of over 5,000 hotels. In this capacity, he coordinated the education programs for all the major corporate meetings (annual conventions, regional meetings, and special corporate functions). In addition, he oversaw the administration of the corporate certification testing process adn the development of many training programs and services. Prior to his experience with Choice Hotels, he was the Director of Certification Programs for the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association and was a member of the human resources team of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
