EXPERIENCE:
Professor Zemmol began her commercial recreation career working at a number of summer camps through her high school and college years. Once graduated from college, she taught learning disabled and emotionally impaired students in a high school resource room. She then traveled to Ecuador, South America where she volunteered and worked for the U.S. Peace Corps. Gail recently completed a 12 year career as the Ambassador of Phun at the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan.
PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE:
- Former Council Member, Village of Rothbury
- Former Member of the Planning Commission, Village of Rothbury
- Active Member, "Sandy Corely Memorial Run", a motorcycle cancer run that has donated more than $1 million to the Hackley Cancer Center in Muskegon, Michigan
- Member, Habitat for Humanity trips, including a trip to Ghana, South America
