Food & Beverage Requirements

 


The Food and Beverage Management emphasis requires 15 credits.

Complete the following:

            HTM 250 – Food Production and Kitchen Management (4 cr)
                        Prerequisite: HTM 213

            HTM 318 – Responsible Beverage Management (3 cr)
                       Prerequisites: HTM 213 and HTM 361

            HTM 413 – Advanced Food and Beverage Management (4 cr)
                        Prerequisites: HTM 250, HTM 290, CIS 150 

Plus, choose a minimum of four (4) credits of additional major electives from this group:

            BMS 105 – Basic Nutrition (3 cr)
            HTM 175 – International Food and Culture (3 cr)
            SOC 288 – Sociology of Food (3 cr)
            HTM 323 – Festival and Special Event Management (3 cr)
                        Prerequisite: HTM 101                         
            HTM 350 – Banquet and Catering Management (3 cr)
                        Prerequisites: HTM 213 and HTM 240

Additional course options may be available with HTM faculty mentor approval.
