Who We Are

The PSS Development Committee (PSSDC) consists of representatives from GVSU's campuses. The PSSDC provides PSS staff with opportunities for connection, and provides the University community with opportunities to express their appreciation for PSS staff. The committee also mentors new PSS staff members by being a source of information and an additional campus contact.

Our Mission

The mission of the PSS Development Committee is to: 

  • Provide new PSS staff with a warm welcome, a friendly connection, and University resources and information
  • Provide the University community with opportunities to express their appreciation for Professional Support Staff

  • Contact [email protected] to request a PSS Buddy.  A PSS Buddy is an experienced staff member who volunteers to be paired up with a new PSS to foster a personal connection, answer questions, and be a resource.

  • Offered once per semester to faculty and staff 

  • Buy $100, $200, or $300 in Dining Dollars, and get a promotional bonus of $15, $40, or $75. 

  • Payroll deduction (requires a minimum $200 purchase and is deducted over 3 consecutive pay periods)
