Job Summary:
- Collect, enter, and maintain faculty program assessment data in the new COE content management system and generate state data reports, and national accreditation reports.
- Assist with design and maintenance of COE web and Blackboard sites.
- Work with COE faculty and staff and Administrative Services staff to prepare data for Michigan Department of Education and NCATE accreditation in 2012.
Primary Duites:
- Oversee unit program assessment and enrollment data, plus curriculum review data.
- Oversee data that affects program approvals and accreditation, e.g. from GVSU academic departments, including the COE, and prepare, State of Michigan MTTC quarterly reports, TITLW II and PEDS reports.
- Coordinate data and maintain current and archival records for catalog revision and state program certification.
- Maintain and monitor departmental FRS and review and reconcile Administrative Services budget reports.
- Become adept at using the GVSU Banner system.
- Perform minimal clerical duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Access-able to manipulate table records by sorting and filtering, upload/download and append table data and create requested reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel-able to manipulate spreadsheet data, sort and filter, use calculation functions and create requested reports.
- Proficient in Internet navigation-understand web server directories and the function of URL addresses and ability to work within several open browser windows.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), electronic file organization/directories and uploading/downloading files using web-based applications (interactive web pages, online file management and File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
- Bonus: familiar with basic web development code (html) and/or MySQL database administration.
- Minimum three years related experience and/or relevant training.
- Possess strong written communication skills, excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
- Ability to comprehend the big picture as it relates to data accuracy, set priorities and be self-motivated with daily work.
Supervision Received:
Designated supervisor will provide general instructions and training but expected to work independently.
