Title: Secretary - Development Services
Classification: C2 Department: University Development
Provides administrative support to the Director of Development Services. Assists with the responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant. Provides gift processing support to the Gift Assistant. Generates memorandums, correspondence, and forms. Prepares donor stewardship correspondence. Receives, opens, routes mail and may compose responses to standard inquiries Maintains filing and/or database and record keeping systems on paper and/or computer. Assists with the preparation of reports. Disseminates information which may require explanation and interpretation of the university/departments/divisions policies and procedures. Answers or refers inquiries from students, faculty, staff and the general public regarding established policies and procedures; answer routine inquiries; and schedule appointments and meetings, facilities and events Establishes and maintains filing and record keeping systems Responsible for inventory and ordering of office supplies and maintaining office equipment
Ability to operate office equipment Ability to provide quality customer service Ability to maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance records Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Type 45 wpm accurately; spelling competency (minimum 80% accuracy). Experience with desktop computer software applications including the Microsoft Office suite. Ability to handle information in a confidential and sensitive manner
