Housing Assignments
Roommate information for first year students that applied by the March 1st application deadline is e-mailed mid-June via their GVSU e-mail address. In this e-mail you will receive:
« Your living center assignment
« Your unit’s phone number and address
« Your roommate’s name, e-mail, and home phone number
Roommates Your roommate(s) will be a very important part of your first-year experience. We encourage you to contact them and get to know them prior to your arrival. Communication is key even after your arrive. Don’t jump to conclusions, look for the best in each other.
Suggestions for your first week together, discuss:
« Hobbies and interests
« Study habits
« Sleep habits
« Personal space
« Use of each others belongings
« Guests
All new roommate pairs are encouraged to complete the Roommate Lifestyle Agreement and discuss their needs for living in a shared space. Click here for a copy of the agreement to print and complete with your roommate.
Note: NO roommate changes are granted until after the first 10 business days of the academic semester.
