Your application must be completed by submitting BOTH of the following:

An essay of at least a few paragraphs. Instructions: You should prepare for the essay by reviewing the "Self Assessment for Prospective Students." Then write about three or four of the areas in which you assessed yourself highly, and give specific illustrations for each. Please also include in your essay an explanation of why you would like to participate in the Honors College.

Note: The work you submit will be handled in a way that respects your privacy. It will be used in the admissions process, and, unless you indicate otherwise, it may also be used for the following additional purposes: (a) as part of a sample of representative work--in which you would not be personally identifiable--to be included in an assessment of outcomes for Honors graduates; (b) as background material--in which you would be personally identifiable--for faculty who teach in Honors so that they can work with you more personally and individually from the start.
