Frederik Meijer Lectures Series:
Wednesday, March 27, 2013 - Sir Ken Robinson
Topic: “Leading a Culture of Innovation”
Lecture: 7:00 p.m. in the Fieldhouse Arena on the Allendale Campus
Free and open to the public. Please park in Lots C, F or G (no permit needed). Doors to the Fieldhouse will open at 6:00 p.m.
Sir Ken Robinson, PhD is an internationally recognized leader in the development ofeducation, creativity and innovation. He works with governments in Europe, Asia and the USA, with international agencies, Fortune 500 companies and some of the world’s leading cultural organizations. In 2003, he received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the arts. He speaks to audiences throughout the world on the creative challenges facing business and education in the new global economies.
January 28th:
Monday, January 28th from 4:00 – 6:00, we will have a viewing of the documentary "Brink of Survival" with a question/answer session in Niemeyer 148 with Dr. Martha Sommers who is doing extraordinary work in Malawi. The documentary about her work demonstrates the impacts of HIV/AIDS, poverty, and the status of women on maternal-child health in one of the world's poorest countries.
After the program, you are invited to a dinner in the multi-purpose room. The program is LIB 100 approved.

Where’s My GPA??

This one hour seminar will be facilitated by Janaan Decker and RA’s Lynsey Comeau, Joey Courtade, and Nathan Kalinowski. We will help students identify their challenges and stressors in college and provide practical ways in which they can do things differently in order to be academically successful. Desserts and refreshments will be served!
