Join us on the Holland Meijer Campus as best selling author Zoe Ferraris shares her experience of moving to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia after the first Gulf War.

She lived in a conservative Muslim community with her then-husband and his family who are Saudi-Palestinians.  After returning to the United States and getting her MFA in writing from Columbia University, she found this experience gave her an insider's view into the closed world of Saudi Arabia, which is the setting for her popular trilogy series. Zoe's talk will be both a revealing and riveting review about her experiences in Saudi Arabia as well as her books.

Zoe Ferraris' novel Finding Nouf, and the follow-up novel, City of Veils are international bestsellers that have been published in over thirty-five countries.  Her third novel, Kingdom of Strangers, was published in June of 2012 and was Oprah's Editor's Pick.  Additionally, Zoe has won the L.A. Times Book Award, the LAL Alex Award, and she was selected as a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers choice.
