Bradley Stek, History '19
I graduated from GVSU in 2019 with a major in history and a minor in
political science. During my undergrad, I enrolled in a wide variety
of history courses but my research primarily focused on military
history. This led me to working on the GVSU Veteran History Project
under Dr. Smither and completing a public history internship for the
American Legion Post 28.
Today, I am currently working as a District Representative for
the Office of Congressman Peter Meijer. My role primarily focuses on
engaging with veterans within the district and assisting them with
issues related to federal agencies. The experience, skills, and
education I obtained at GVSU were critical in preparing me for this position.
I am currently working on a M.A. in History at Central Michigan
University and serve as a member of the City of Walker Historical Committee.
