My research focuses on the political, social, and military interactions between Greeks and Persians during the Classical period. I am currently revising my dissertation on Greek mercenaries employed by the Achaemenid Empire into a monograph manuscript.

Another aspect of my research examines the historical memory of the Achaemenid Empire in the literature of its former subjects. One of my projects in this area is an article on how the realities of Persian imperial administration shaped portrayals of Solominic Israel in later biblical Hebrew and Greek traditions.
