The Center of Mindful Living in Los Angeles is the home for the integration of  Mindfulness and psychotherapy. They provide a welcoming, supportive, compassionate and healing environment for people seeking positive life changes through classes, workshops, and individual and group psychotherapy. Mindfulness Training For Self-Compassion

January 26th - March 2nd
Thursday 12:00 - 1:30PM  DeVos 303C

The course will consist of six, 90-minute sessions held one week apart. The Grand Rapids Center for Mindfulness will facilitate each training. Each session will include the introduction of a theme weaving the two core practices of mindfulness and self-compassion together, a mindful self-compassion practice, a guided reflection and discussion. Participants will receive a workbook, CDs, and digital recordings with each new practice to support a daily practice between weekly sessions.  Cost is $50 for the 6 week course.  This course taken in the community would cost approximately $300. A savings of $250 to participants!

The Practice of Mindfulness

Dr. Sue Dilsworth of Heart’s Journey Wellness Center will guide you through the basic principles of meditation and mindfulness.  The 45 minute sessions will be primarily experiential and will include lecture, experiential components, and discussion based on evidence-based practices. No prior meditation experience necessary.  You do not need to register for all sessions.

Through The Eyes of Yoga

A series of workshops and discussions about the benefits of yoga. Experience the healing of Kundalini, or take a look at the research into the effects of restorative yoga. For a full list of workshops and dates, click here.


Prayer or Meditation Room

Kirkhof Center has recently dedicated Room 2243 as a personal prayer or meditation room. The room will be used for those purposes only and will be open to faculty, staff, and students of all faiths and non-faith traditions. The room is available for use whenever Kirkhof Center is open.
