Constitution Day Celebration
James Madison

Madison, "Father of the Constitution"

Honoring the Legacy of America's Founding Fathers

Each September, the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies hosts Grand Valley State University's Constitution Day celebration.  On Constitution Day, citizens across the country commemorate the birth of the U.S. Constitution, honor the legacy of its framers, and learn about the responsibilities and opportunities of citizenship.

The Hauenstein Center has celebrated Constitution Day by focusing on today's key constitutional debates and historical programs bringing viewers back to the days of the Declaration of Independence and Constitutional Convention.
