Timely Warning Policy

A "timely warning" will be issued if a situation arises that the Director of Public Safety or designee deems an ongoing or continual threat, with consultation with the Crisis Response Coordinators,  if time and availability permits.   The warning will be issued via the university web site, http://www.gvsu.edu/, email and other means deemed appropriate.  Depending on the particular circumstances of the crime or threat, additional notices maybe posted in each residential facility and within academic buildings.

Anyone with information warranting a timely warning should report the circumstances to the Department of Public Safety by telephone (616) 331-3255, in person at the Service building on the Allendale Campus, or the Pew Security office at 102 Eberhard Center on the Pew Campus.
