Chapter 5 - Penalty

5.1 All violations of provisions of the Traffic and Parking Ordinance or of the Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships and Villages adopted by reference by Chapter thereof, constitute civil infractions with the exceptions that certain more serious violations are misdemeanors punishable by a fine of not more than $100 for each violation. All parking violations are civil infractions.

5.2 Any person who is found to have committed a civil infraction under the Traffic and Parking Ordinance may be ordered to pay a civil fine and costs in accordance with Act 510, P.A. 1978, as amended.
