Physician Assistant Studies faculty members and students have collaborated with two organizations to host a free conference for area girls and their parents during National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
“everyBODY is Beautiful” is set for Monday, February 24, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences. It’s geared toward girls ages 10-14 and their parents or guardians.
The partnering organizations are the Michigan Eating Disorders Alliance and Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center.
Andrew Booth, program director and assistant professor of PAS, said sessions during the conference will be targeted towards girls and adults. Sessions will focus on self-esteem and healthy eating.
