Pow Wow set for Saturday
An event to raise awareness about Native American culture and tradition will take place at Grand Valley State University April 21.
Sponsored by the Native American Student Association at Grand Valley, the Spring Pow Wow will take place on the field next to the Performing Arts Center on the Allendale Campus. The event is free and open to the public.

11 a.m.-8:30 p.m.

The event will focus on traditional Native American dancing and music with performances at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Native American art, jewelry and cuisine will be available to purchase throughout the day.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the event, including people from Native American communities in the Upper Peninsula, Indiana and Wisconsin.
