Help new students move in this fall

Students, faculty and staff members can still sign up to help new students move into the living centers from August 20-22.

Volunteers can sign up for three-hour shifts from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Colleen Bailey, assistant director of Housing and Residence Life, said more than 600 students, faculty and staff members volunteered last year. “The campus community really makes students and their families feel welcome and part of the Laker family right from the very start,” she said.

Helping Hands has been a campus tradition for nearly 20 years.
