Football season opener will air locally

Louie and Laker and other football fans can watch Grand Valley take on the Western Oregon Wolves Saturday on WGVU HD.

Laker football fans can watch the 2012 season opener live on WGVU HD at 4 p.m. EDT on Saturday, September 1.

Grand Valley will visit Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon, to take on the Wolves. Last year, the Lakers beat the Wolves, 44-20, in Allendale. Grand Valley begins the season ranked in the top 10 nationally in Division II polls and was selected as the favorite in the GLIAC North Division by the coaches in a preseason poll.
