Grand Valley State University has signed transfer agreements with Alpena Community College and Mid Michigan Community College.

The agreements help students who transfer to Grand Valley complete an associate’s degree at the community colleges.

The initiative applies to Alpena Community College students who have completed at least 45 credits at ACC, but transferred before earning an associate’s degree. It also applies to Mid Michigan Community College students who have completed at least 15 credits at MMCC.

Grand Valley also has a reverse transfer agreement with Northwestern Michigan College; a formal signing was held in Traverse City April 4.

Grand Valley has similar transfer agreements with Grand Rapids Community College, Muskegon Community College, West Shore Community College, Montcalm Community College, North Central Michigan College, Jackson Community College, Lansing Community College, and Macomb Community College.
