Film about Nepal to be screened

The Padnos International Center will host a documentary film, "Beneath Everest: Nepal Reborn," by an alumnus on Thursday, December 10.

The screening will run from 7-9 p.m. in Loosemore Auditorium in the DeVos Center. Filmmaker Tulsi Bhandari will screen his film and be available for questions after. Julie Guevara, assistant vice president for Academic Affairs, will serve as moderator. The event is free and open to the public.

Bhandari earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Grand Valley. He has worked in Nepal as a human rights activist for more than 12 years. The screening of "Beneath Everest" on December 10 also commemorates the 10th anniversary of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
