Transplant Games 5K run will affect Pew Campus
The Transplant Games of America will sponsor a 5K run Saturday, July 28, that will affect traffic at the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
The race, which is open to the public, will begin and end at the David D. Hunting YMCA at 9 a.m. The DeVos Center parking lot will close Friday evening and reopen Saturday afternoon when downtown streets reopen after the race, about noon.
The Seward parking ramp will be open for student parking Saturday. The race begins on Winter Street, continues to Wealthy, Front and Watson streets before returning to Winter Street. The route is pictured above.
Also, a Transplant Games bicycle race will be held on Sunday, July 29, from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m., with a route that includes Allendale Campus roads. Access to areas by the Murray and VanSteeland living centers, South Campus Drive and Laker Village Drive may be limited during those hours.
