Colliers Annual Economic and Real Estate Forecast

Grand Valley State University economics expert Hari Singh will release the findings of his benchmark survey of the regional economy at a breakfast event January 18. The survey for the greater Grand Rapids economy (Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, and Allegan counties) was conducted in November 2011.

Singh, a professor of economics in Grand Valley’s Seidman College of Business, will talk about consumer confidence, employment, sales and export growth. The event is co-sponsored by Colliers International.

Duke Suwyn, president and CEO of Colliers International, and H. James Williams, dean of Grand Valley’s Seidman College of Business, will give opening remarks. KC Conway, executive managing director at Colliers International will give a national overview and Derek Hunderman, vice president and managing partner at Colliers, will give a West Michigan market overview.

Panelists from Colliers International include Duke Suwyn, Colin Kraay, David Wiener and Mark Ansara. Cathy Bronkema, from Cohen Financial, is also a panelist.
