International trumpeters performing, teaching in Allendale

High school and college trumpet students are on the Allendale Campus this week to study with some of the most outstanding educators and performers on the instrument today. During the Grand Valley State University International Trumpet Seminar, through July 28, students will learn different teaching and playing styles from world class artists through group lessons, master classes, rehearsals, ensembles, and recitals.

Evening concert performances, from 7:30 – 9 p.m., Sherman Van Solkema Recital Hall, Performing Arts Center, are open to the public with general admission $5 at the door, unless indicated otherwise:

July 23 - Jose Chafer Mompo 
July 24 - Zhonghui Dai and his select students
July 25 - Kevin Gebo
July 26 - Faculty Concert featuring Hunter Eberly, Jean Moorehead Libs, Kevin Maloney, Robert Frear, Jason Bergman, Slawomir Cichor, and Steven Marx
July 27 - Special Guest Artist Allen Vizzutti - General admission: $12; seniors/students: $10, Louis Armstrong Theatre, Performing Arts Center
