Documentary showcases Native American history

The showing of the documentary, “Our Fires Still Burn,” and a panel discussion will close Grand Valley’s Native American Heritage Month celebration.

The film focuses on the myth that Native Americans have disappeared from the U.S. It showcases how Native Americans continue to heal from the past and confront present challenges, while keeping their culture alive and contributing to society.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion with director Audrey Geyer, producer Scott Badenoch and Native News Network Editor Levi Rickert.
