Grand Valley's Toast to the graduating class returns

Two Champagne glasses that say "Laker for a Lifetime" sit on a table at a former toast to the graduating class.

After a three-year hiatus, Grand Valley’s Toast to the graduating class will take place on April 13 at the Eberhard Center.

Hosted by Grand Valley’s Alumni Relations and President Philomena V. Mantella, the night will celebrate winter and summer 2023 graduates. Participants can enjoy dessert, sparkling punch, and a glass of champagne, or a non-alcoholic variety, and can take home their commemorative Laker for a Lifetime champagne flute.

“I am looking forward to celebrating with the Class of 2023 as we renew this beloved Grand Valley tradition,” Mantella said. “We will toast this proud moment for our graduates along with the resilience they have shown to accomplish their goals and transform their futures.”

The Toast is free for attendees and will take place on the second floor of the Eberhard Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus. A valid state ID and GVSU student ID are required, and business casual attire is encouraged.

Attendees may choose from two different time slots. Those who wish to attend can register until April 10 at gvsu.edu/toast.
