Engineering and Nursing Graduate Students Win Entrepreneur Pitch Competition

Kathryn Christopher from the Engineering master's program and Brianna Taylor from the Nursing doctoral program won $5000 at the Entrepreneur-You Plan and Pitch competition sponsored by the Michigan Women's Foundation. Participants were required to perform a 4-minute pitch for five judges. The inter-disciplinary duo was the only team from GVSU at the competition and they won second place in the "Growth Business" category. They will receive $5000 along with in-kind services from accounting, marketing, and development firms.

The two students began working on the project "Fluition" during their undergraduate programs and have continued their collaboration through their graduate degrees.

The Michigan Women's Foundation included Kathryn and Brianna's win on its website as well.
