Laker Chosen to Attend an International Conference in Global Governance

Obed Boateng (Higher Education, M.Ed.) is one of 50 global delegates chosen to attend the Highway Institute of Strategic Alliance (HISA) Youth Dialogue 2023, which will be hosted this fall in Madrid, Spain.
The HISA Youth Dialogue brings together professionals from different sectors to discuss the challenges of global governance, public administration, and social entrepreneurship. This is a valuable opportunity for participants to gain perspective on how these domains intersect with each other, as well as learn about policy-making in relation to them. Attendees will also have the chance to network with experts and fellow peers in their respective fields, exchange ideas and experiences, and explore new ways of thinking about social issues within a global context.
Obed is passionate about engaging with diverse communities, listening to their needs, and advocating for inclusive policies that will uplift marginalized voices. He hopes to bring insight from the conference with him into the field of higher education, where cross-disciplinary approaches are becoming increasingly important. This Laker aspires to be a leader that inspires others to join the collective effort of making the world a better place.
