Jenn has been a staff member at GVSU since 2005 and joined The Graduate School in January 2008. Jenn assists the PACES initiative with program development, online content, workshop logistics and event promotion. She manages the department's social media presence, maintains the Graduate Student Blackboard group, and creates the monthly 6 in 60 TGS newsletter.
Jenn is responsible for the various department publications, including the Graduate Student Guidebook, Graduate Directors Handbook, the program for the Graduate Dean's Citations Awards, program for the Graduate Showcase, and The Graduate School's Annual Report.
In TGS, Jenn coordinates the department presence at events such as GradFest, New Graduate Student Orientation, and recruitment events. She is the primary contact for graduate student issues and serves as the department contact for petitions for exception to university policies. Jenn assists faculty applying for Graduate Faculty Status and maintains the database of approved faculty. She also serves as the department's Thesis and Dissertation Coordinator.
TGS is a designated unit on campus to report Bias Incidents. Jenn is approved as an Inclusion Advocate, a member of Allies & Advocates and the Veteran's Network, and serves as the department liaison for issues relating to inclusion and equity. In 2015-16, she is the Administrative Chair for the Women's Commission at GVSU. Jenn is currently a student in the Communications graduate program.
