Mission of the U.S. Probation Office – Western District of Michigan

The U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services System carries out probation and pretrial services functions in the U.S. district courts. The U.S. Probation Office of the Western District of Michigan is one of 93 federal districts served within this system.  Through its officers and other employees, the system works to make the criminal justice process effective and the public safe.

Role of the U.S. Probation Office – Western District of Michigan in the Weed & Seed Program

The U.S. Probation Office of the Western District of Michigan plays a natural role in supporting the federal courts and serving the community and those who come before the court, by assuring fair administration of justice.  The U.S. Probation Office works to keep the community safe from offenders charged with federal crimes, and to bring positive change to individuals under their supervision.
