Neighborhood Ventures

Mission of Neighborhood Ventures

Neighborhood Ventures is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, neighborhood-based community and economic development organization whose mission is "to interject vitality into the heart of each neighborhood by revitalizing its business district."  Neighborhood Ventures has a vision of a city full of "vibrant business districts, distinctive and reflective of each unique neighborhood."

Role of Neighborhood Ventures in the Weed & Seed Program

Neighborhood Ventures focuses on revitalizing the business districts and areas within the Grand Rapids community.  Their work within the Weed & Seed site focuses on the Franklin/Eastern area, Wealthy Street, East Hills and Eastown.  Weed and Seed Steering Committee members participate in the Southtown Business Alliance and Uptown Business Alliance facilitated through Neighborhood Ventures, in an effort to reach out to businesses within the Central City area.
