Urban Family Ministries

Mission of the Urban Family Ministries

Urban Family Ministries exists for one reason: to reach the less fortunate families in urban areas of Grand Rapids by providing resources to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Role of the Urban Family Ministries in the Weed & Seed Program

The founder and executive director of Urban Family Ministries, Scott Vogel, currently serves on the Weed and Seed Steering Committee as the treasurer and representative of the Madison Area neighborhood.  Urban Family Ministries partners with various youth-oriented initiatives, serves as the fiscal agent of the Building Bridges program, and has a strong relationship with many residents and members from the business community.  Urban Family Ministries, with a central location within the Central City area, also works closely with the Arbor Circle Street Outreach Program and Weed & Seed Youth Committee providing community space as needed.
