To protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners.

 
Role of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Weed & Seed Program

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) provides support for the weeding strategy to the Central City Weed & Seed site.  Through a collaboration between Weed & Seed and the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, the FBI provides federal support addressing the crime indicators of narcotics, aggravated assault and gun violence related to their law enforcement strategy.
