Panhellenic Executive Board
President: Margie Munoz
Bio: Margie went to Troy High School and graduated in 2011, and she lived in three different countries before that. She is a senior at Grand Valley where she studies Women and Gender Studies as well as Communication Studies. She has been Assistant Recruitment Director and Panhellenic Delegate for chapter before becoming Panhellenic President. She attended Athena Conference, Men in Action Conference, and AFLV. A few fun facts about Margie include: she loves yoga, she is a vegan, and studied abroad in Africa this summer. Margie plans to work with people to better the world while never having to work a 9-5 job in her lifetime.
Executive Vice President: Jennifer
Bio: Jennifer is from the town that bleeds maize and blue: Ann Arbor, MI. She graduated from Pioneer High School in 2011. Jennifor is majoring in Therapeutic Recreation and plans to go to graduate to obtain her masters in Occupational Therapy. She is a junior and joined Greek life in Fall 2011. Last year she served as her chapter's Panhellenic Delegate, was a Rho Gamma and a Transitions Leader for Grand Valley's Fall orientation. Currently she serves as her chapter's sisterhood chair. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, and trying new foods.
Vice President of Recruitment: Esther Phillip
Bio: Esther is from Sterling Heights and graduated from Adlai E. Stevenson High School. She is senior who majors in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Women and Leadership in Healthcare. She joined Greek life her freshman year and has loved every single second of it. She was Public Relations Vice President for her sorority and now this is her second year on Panhel Eboard, which is fabulous! Some fun facts about Esther are that she likes to box, loves to give back to the community, and her life goal is to spread women empowerment!
Vice President of Membership Development: Cara
Bio: Cara is a senior from small-town Dexter, MI. She is majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in Buisness and Advertising/Public Relations. She joined Greek life as a freshman in the Fall of 2011 and couldn't imagine college without her sisters! Cara has since held the positions of Philanthropy Chair and Sisterhood Chair within her chapter, and is currently serving President of Greek Life Council. Some fun facts about Cara are that she loves Michigan football, Dr. Pepper, and is a die-hard Harry Potter geek.
Assistant Recruitment/ VP of Rho Gammas: Alissa Zalewski
Bio: Alissa is currently the Assistant Recruitment Chair, dealing mainly with Rho Gammas during recruitment (recruitment guides/mentors). She is senior studying Secondary Education with an emphasis in Math. She is currently in the College of Education and is a teaching assistant. She has been a part of Greek life at Grand Valley since 2010 and absolutely loves it.
Vice President of Community Development: Allison
Bio: Allison has an obsession with pickles, Greek life, the color purple, and the show Pretty Little Liars! She is a Psychology major here at GVSU with a minor in Sociology. She plans on going to grad school and getting her master's degree in Occupational Therapy. She grew up in the small town of Richmond, MI and graduated from Richmond High School in 2011. She rushed in the Fall of 2011 and it was the best decision of her college career. She has held many leadership positions. She has also attended the Athena Leadership Conference, UIFI, and was a facilitator for Greek 101.
Vice President of Scholarship and Sustainability: Melissa
Bio: Melissa grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated from Lane Tech High School in 2011. She is majoring in nursing with an emphasis on labor and delivery, and will be graduating in December of 2015. She hopes to work at one of the major hospitals in Grand Rapids or Chicago. Melissa joined Greek life as a sophomore in the Fall of 2012 and it has been one of the best decisions she has made in her college career. Melissa is also the assistant sisterhood chair for her sorority. Some fun facts about Melissa are that she is obsessed with Harry Potter, is a twin, and loves hockey.
Vice President of Service and Philanthropy: Sarah
Bio: Sarah is from the small town of Richmond, MI. She graduated from Richmond High School in 2012. She is a Cell and Molecular Biology major with a minor in Psychology. She is a junior at Grand Valley and joined Greek life as a freshman in the Fall of 2012. She has held the positions of Recording Secretary and Vice President of Education in her chapter. She spends her spare time with friends and family, loves listening to country music, and playing with her Golden Retriever.
Bio: Ciara is from Holt, MI and graduated from Holt High School in 2011. She is currently a senior at Grand Valley and will be graduating in Winter of 2015. Her major is Advertising and Public Relations with an emphasis in Public Relations. She also minors in Hospitality and Tourism Management. One day, she hopes to receive her dream job in New York City. She joined Grand Valley Greek life as a freshman in the Fall of 2011, and it was the best decision she has ever made. She has held the positions of Assistant Panhellenic Delegate and Panhellenic Delegate within her chapter. She also belongs to Grand Valley's Public Relations Society of America (PRSSA). In her spare time she likes to craft and rhinestone basically anything in sight.
Bio: Taylore is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Economics while also minoring in International Relations. Outside of Panhellenic Treasurer, she was previously VP of Finance for her sorority as well as a member of the Finance Committee on Grand Valley's Student Senate. She also works for a corporate law firm in Grand Rapids and hopes to pursue a career in international economic reform or international law someday. In her free time she lives to go hiking, spend time with friends, and watch "Suits".
Vice President of Public Relations: Kelsey
Bio: Kelsey is from Kokomo, Indiana where she graduated from Northwestern High School. She is currently a junior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management. After she graduates she would like to get married and become an event planner, where she hopes to make other people's lives easier. She joined the amazing world of Greek life in the Fall of 2012. She has loved every minute of going Greek since joining and has a passion for helping others find the amazing sisterhood she so luckily found. She loves the color yellow because it is the color of sunshine, as well as pancakes, mashed potatoes, and love. Her goal in life is to be a mother, wife, and make people's lives easier.
