Rho Lambda
Theta Alpha Chapter
Founded: February 28, 1962
Requirements: Panhellenic leader, 2.5 cumulative GPA, and Junior/Senior standing
Purpose: Honorary society recognizing leaders in the Panhellenic community
Preamble:
We, the members of Rho Lambda, pledge ourselves to the highest ideals of fraternity women. We seek to embody in ourselves the qualities of leadership and service so that, through both example and guidance, we may further those Panhellenic ideals.
The colors of Rho Lambda are crimson and gold. The pin is a broken triangle with a crimson inset bearing the Greek leaders Rho Lambda in gold.
To date, over 218 chapters have been chartered throughout North America, each sharing the common goal of recognizing sorority women for their outstanding leadership.
Purpose:
1. Rho Lambda shall exhibit the highest ideals of Panhellenic leadership and devotion in the Greek community.
2. Rho Lambda shall provide a scholarship annually, of varying amount, to a sorority woman who has demonstrated outstanding character, leadership, and service to the Greek community.
3. Rho Lambda shall provide scholarship programs at least once a year (i.e. Week of Scholar, academic speakers, etc.) Rho Lambda shall work with other Greek leadership and scholarship organizations to promote awareness of opportunities within the Greek community.
