G.A.M.M.A., or Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol,
is a peer education organization created by, and run by the Grand Valley State University Fraternity and Sorority Community. What does G.A.M.M.A. do? G.A.M.M.A. was founded upon seven objectives:
What G.A.M.M.A. is NOT... G.A.M.M.A. is not an abstinence only education organization. G.A.M.M.A. recognizes the fact that many students at GVSU choose to drink alcohol, and would not benefit from this form of education. Instead, G.A.M.M.A. is focused upon the mature management of alcohol; which is accomplished through education, and skills training. The ultimate goal of G.A.M.M.A. is to prevent alcohol abuse, and issues associated with it. G.A.M.M.A. is not a punitive measure for fraternities and sororities. Membership in G.A.M.M.A., and attendance at G.A.M.M.A. events is 100% voluntary for the fraternity and sorority community. The organization will not allow themselves or their events to be used as a punishment by any fraternity or sorority. Upcoming Events:
General Assembly Meeting November 10th, 6:30pm in LMH 114
