Letter from the President
Greetings,
Welcome to the home of the Interfraternity Council at Grand Valley State University.
Grand Valley State University offers a wealth of opportunities to grow as a student and person as an Undergrad. However the fraternal system is one the most honored collegiate academic institutions nationally. This is due to not only to members of past and present, but to the next generation of men who take the task upon themselves to make their institutions and organizations better places.
The Interfraternity Council at GVSU contains every type of collegiate man excelling in multiple aspects of student life including and by no means limited to; academics, leadership, service, philanthropic endeavors and athletics. All 9 of our chapters at GVSU help provide outlets for all of these opportunities and plenty more. The benefits of being a Fraternity man extend far beyond your collegiate years though, with countless opportunities as an alumnus of one of these respective organizations. It is with great confidence that I can say that our community creates a place for everyman to fit in.
The purpose of the Interfraternity Council is to provide Support, Guidance and Structure for Fraternity men along with their respective organizations. By helping to uphold the high moral standards set forth by each of these organizations and the University, we are able to pride ourselves by having one of the strongest Fraternity Communities in the country. Through out the next year, our new executive board plans to continue these efforts in new and innovative ways striving for constant success and improvement.
It is a great pleasure to welcome you and please feel free to contact myself for more information on the IFC here at Grand Valley State University. Once again welcome and have a great day!
