Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Grand Valley State University is a student-led organization that oversees and governs the fraternity community on campus. The IFC is committed to promoting and upholding the values of its member fraternities, which include scholarship, leadership, service, and brotherhood. Through its programming and initiatives, the IFC works to enhance the fraternity experience and provide opportunities for personal growth and development for its members. The IFC also collaborates with other student organizations and campus departments to support a safe and inclusive community for all students. At Grand Valley State University, the IFC serves as a resource for its member fraternities, providing guidance and support in areas such as risk management, recruitment, and leadership development. The IFC also works closely with the university administration to ensure that its member organizations are in compliance with all university policies and procedures.

Alpha Epsilon Pi - Delta Gamma Chapter

Founded at New York University in 1913 by Charles C. Moskowitz. The fraternity has more than 186 active chapters across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Austria, Australia, and Israel, and has initiated more than 102,000 members. Although the fraternity is based upon Jewish principles, it is non-discriminatory and is open to all who are willing to espouse its purpose and values.

Alpha Tau Omega - Kappa Lambda Chapter

Founded at the Virginia Military Institute in 1865, Alpha Tau Omega or "ATO" for short, has 250 active and inactive chapters and colonies. Nationally, ATO has initiated over 250,000 members since their founding.

Delta Tau Delta - Iota Upsilon Chapter

Founded at Bethany College in 1858, Delta Tau Delta or "Delt" for short, has 133 active chapters. Nationally, Delta Tau Delta has initiated over 170,000 members.

Pi Kappa Phi - Epsilon Beta Chapter

Pi Kappa Phi is a national men's fraternity founded on leadership in 1904 at College of Charleston. Who are now 120,000 strong, & on more than 187 campuses.

Founded at GVSU: April 28th, 1979


Sigma Pi - Theta Rho Chapter

Founded at Vincennes University in 1897, Sigma Pi or "Sig Pi" for short, has 124 active chapters. Nationally, Sigma Pi has initiated over 100,000 members.

Theta Chi - Iota Gamma Chapter

Founded at Norwich University in 1856, Theta Chi has 153 active chapters. Nationally, Theta Chi has initiated over 184,000 members.
