National Science Foundation

The National Science Foundation (NSF) FastLane is an interactive web-based system created by NSF to conduct all aspects of electronic business pertaining to research.

Note: PIs must be registered with FastLane prior to proposal submission.  The Office of Sponsored Programs must register an individual user on FastLane.  Please contact the OSP to request a registration.

Individuals sign on to the system and send/receive their transactions directly to/from NSF. These transactions represent a wide range of activities including Award Search, Proposal Preparation, Proposal Review, Status Reports, Project Reporting, and Post Award  Notifications and Requests.

NSF is currently developing Research.gov which interfaces with FastLane.  GVSU utilizes Cayuse424 to submit proposals to Research.gov.  If you are registered with FastLane, your FastLane userid and password also allow access to Research.gov.
