The National Institutes of Health utilize eRA Commons as their electronic research administration system. The eRA Commons is a virtual meeting place where NIH extramural grantee organizations, grantees, and the public can receive and transmit information about the administration of biomedical and behavioral research. The eRA Commons is divided into both unrestricted and restricted portions that provide for public and confidential information, respectively.
Note: PIs must be registered with eRA Commons prior to proposal submission. The Office of Sponsored Programs must register an individual user on eRA Commons. Please contact the OSP to request a registration.
After a proposal is submitted via Cayuse424 to Grants.gov, the proposal is then transferred to the eRA Commons system. Applicants will receive proposal and review status as well as award information from eRA Commons. Just in Time information, adjustments, reports, and extensions are all processed through eRA Commons.
