The Office of Sponsored Programs, under the Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence (CSCE) umbrella, serves as Grand Valley State University's central office to support faculty and staff in the identification, development, submission, and administration of externally sponsored agreements for scholarly research and creative activity.
Our services include:
Funding searches designed to match proposed projects and goals
Obtaining the University's commitment to a project via internal routing though Cayuse
Proposal development support, guidance, and submission
Acceptance and processing of awards, interpretation and terms and conditions
Technical training and grant writing workshops
The best way to start? Contact the Grants and Contract Specialist that is responsible for your college. To see the staff directory, including responsibilities by college, see the About OSP page.
Wondering how course buyouts work? Having trouble coming up with match? Not sure you can make a deadline? See the FAQ page here simple answers to these and other questions.
Remember, grant awards are awarded to the University as opposed to an individual. Be sure that before you submit or sign anything you check with OSP that it's OK to do so. The Authorized Representative at GVSU is the only person allowed to submit or sign proposals or awards!
