M.P.A. - Health Administration Concentration Overview

Health administration is a five-course concentration option for students in Grand Valley State University’s Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) program. The degree is offered through the School of Public and Nonprofit Administration and is structured to prepare graduates to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a variety of health-related environments.

About the M.P.A. - Health Administration Concentration

The Master in Public Administration (M.P.A.) – Health Administration Concentration curriculum is designed primarily for mid-career professionals who are in clinical or administrative positions and who wish to increase their knowledge, improve their productivity, or seek career advancement.

The M.P.A. degree consists of a minimum of 39 credit hours of coursework including five courses specific to the health administration concentration . Precareer students must take 3 credit hours of internship in addition to the 39 required hours of course work for a total of 42 credit hours. Students must meet with an advisor upon entry into the program to develop a program of study.

M.P.A. degree requirements and application for admission are available online. The $30 application fee is waived for undergraduate alumni of Grand Valley.
