Students in the Seidman College of Business gain a broad, systems-based understanding of business that employers desire. Ambitious students can become an intern in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Initiative or become professionally certified in SAP, a business software program.
"It's very important to get the certification, not only to show you have the knowledge in SAP, but the perseverance to make it through the program," said T.J. Muszynski, an ERP intern.
Dr. Simha R. Magal, professor and ERP Initiative Director, emphasized the impact that the Grand Valley's program has on students' futures. "This gives students a huge bonus- it gets them noticed," he said. "They can compete with any student from any university."
Some students are up for the challenge of these opportunities, but can’t afford the associated costs.
