"So many students benefit from tutoring. I see them come into the center with questions and leave feeling accomplished and empowered." - Noah Zucker '14, Student Tutor
Tutoring services offered at Grand Valley State University's Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus have been shown to be effective and beneficial for students. Student tutor Noah Zucker has seen their impact. "So many students benefit from tutoring," Zucker said. "I see them come into the center with questions and leave feeling accomplished and empowered."
Students who work as tutors also benefit from the experience. "Being able to teach them not only helps you learn it better, it helps you forge relationships," Zucker said.
As the university's Grand Rapids presence grows and a growing number of students frequent the campus, an expansion of the Student Academic Success Center is needed.
