Hannah '04 and Justin '04 Hendges

"As alumni, it is important that we lead by example for the benefit of current Grand Valley students," Hannah and Justin Hendges said.

With the couple's recent University Society leadership gift to Grand Valley, they are doing just that.

"The giving opportunities for the Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons and the Seidman College of Business just seemed perfect and it was the right time for us," Justin said. "We are excited to give and be a part of history for a place that has helped us be where we are today."

"We learned real life experiences through internships, career services and networking opportunities," Hannah continued. "Grand Valley prepared us for graduation and for the real world by providing us with more than just a degree."

For these reasons, the Hendges feel that it is necessary to give back to the university.

"We want others to be blessed with the same experiences that we had at Grand Valley, Justin said. "We are proud to be graduates and want to support the institution that has afforded us so many opportunities."
