Grand Valley alum Branden Stewart has always been a leader. From his first few months at college to present, he has strived to serve the university community and believes that it has helped him become the person he is today.
"Having the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of my fraternal brothers and sisters as part of the Greek community, my fellow students as part of various organizations, and the outside community through service projects has helped me realize that through serving others, you really do learn more about yourself," Stewart said.
Stewart's past roles as President of Delta Sigma Phi, President of Greek Life Council, volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and member of the Grand Valley Student Senate have all been recognized by the university - as he has been the recipient of the Student Legacy Scholarship, the Bert Price Award, and the Grand Valley Award for Excellence. With the help of these scholarships, Stewart was able to continue his involvement with student and campus organizations - his true passion.
"My current goal is to one day become a student activities or Greek advisor," he said. "I want to help shape the lives of students."
