Scott D. Wierda

Scott Wierda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Hope College. He has more than 26 years of experience in commercial real estate development, management, and brokerage. Scott is principal and managing partner of CWD Real Estate Investment, and co-owner and founder of Jade Pig Ventures. Previously, Scott served as vice president of sales for S.J. Wisinski & Company. He currently serves as vice chair, appointed by the board in 2017, for the State of Michigan – Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). Previously, Scott was on the Governing Board, appointed by Governor Snyder for MSHDA from 2013-2015. In addition to being on the GVU Foundation Board of Directors, Scott is a board member of the City of Grand Rapids Downtown Improvement District. Scott most recently won Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 2016 “Newsmaker of the Year” for Retail category.
