Noreen K. Myers has been an active part of the Grand Rapids community for many years. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in political science from Grand Valley State University in 1972, she did graduate studies in political philosophy at Loyola University and Georgetown University. After receiving a J.D. from Thomas Cooley Law School she opened her own private practice in 1983 in Grand Rapids where she has specialized in employment law since.
In 2005 she was appointed to the Board of Trustees of GVSU and served both as chair of the Academic Affairs Committee and, subsequently, as the first alumnus board chair. She continues to serve as a mentor in the Cook Leadership Academy and looks forward to her role in our Hauenstein Center's Common Ground Initiative. In 2013 she was awarded GVSU's Presidential Leadership Award.
